MS. WENDY YORK: My name is Wendy York and I'm an attorney in Sacramento, California. And who I am has really been shaped by my folks so I have to briefly mention how that shaped me. My parents were Peace Corps volunteers after college, were teachers, and were teachers their whole lives. They were from the Midwest, and so there is a core set of values there with work ethic, integrity, family values that they've taught me. In addition, my parents being athletes, taught me to be athletic and competitive and I use all of that—those core set of values for the benefit of my clients. I value a human loss, I value family values, work ethic and integrity. I value trust. And I'm fiercely competitive. And I take all of that to the benefit of my client, because ultimately, as my parents served others in a foreign country, it feels good for me to serve my clients. To make them better. To make them whole.
