MS. WENDY YORK: Wage and hour litigation is an area that our office does in the form of class action litigation where quite frankly, the employers are screwing the employees. They are taking advantage of the employees by denying the workers their rest periods, their meal periods, or engaging in what I call employer theft, where they take time, shave time from the employee's time cards or doing unlawful deductions. It's wrong and we want to hold them accountable. We enjoy representing workers on a class action level, going after their employer which gives the employees, the workers, so much more protection. Because every worker fears retaliation when they go after their employer. But when an employee does it on a class action level it gives them a greater protection, a shield. The employer cannot retaliate against their entire workforce. Who's going to work for them? That's where we come in.
