MS. WENDY YORK: Class actions. I call class actions justice on steroids. I know that sounds funny, but it's true. It allows consumers to go after companies on a large level where they might not otherwise do it. And I'll give you an example. A lot of times consumers have phone bills, and a large phone company might tack on, nickel and dime some fee of $5 a month. Well, a consumer may not feel inclined to go after the company in a lawsuit because it's not worth it. However, if it's happening to thousands or millions of customers across the country, class actions are the vehicle to go after that company to hold them accountable.
