At York Law Corporation, we believe that it is important to give back to our Community in various ways. For example, we are devoted to stopping nursing home abuse and neglect, as evidenced by our financial donations of over $30,000.00 to charitable organizations devoted to helping families and elderly residents who are abused or neglected, including F.A.T.E. (Foundation Aiding The Elderly). We also give our time to educate families and attorneys on how to prosecute nursing homes in elder abuse cases. Attorney Wendy York has written articles on how to prosecute nursing homes in elder abuse cases, as well as spoken at seminars on the subject.

Our law firm is also committed to serving our Community to help make our Community a better place. Ms. York serves as the Chairperson of the Community Outreach Committee for CCTLA and, as such, organized groups of 16 trial attorneys to help KVIE Public Television raise money during its Pledge Drive in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Ms. York also organized a group of attorneys to put on a Bicycle Safety Day to educate children on how to prevent head injuries. As a part of this event, attorneys raised money to purchase 100 bicycle helmets to be delivered to disadvantaged children who may not be able to afford helmets in an effort to help prevent head injuries.

Ms. York also donated her time to raise money for other worthy organizations, such as MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). MDA is a voluntary health agency — a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans.
